April 13, 2011 – Notice of Intent Published in Federal Register
A Notice of Intent to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement for the restoration of the South Farallon Islands by removing nonnative mice was published in the Federal Register by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on April 13, 2011. The public and other agencies are encouraged to participate in the planning process by sending written comments on management actions to:
South Farallon Islands NEPA Scoping Comments; c/o Gerry McChesney, Farallon NWR Manager; 9500 Thornton Avenue, Newark, CA 94560; by email to firstname.lastname@example.org; or by fax to 510-745-9285. If faxing or emailing comments, please provide the heading “South Farallon Islands NEPA Scoping Comments”.
To ensure that suggestions and other input can be adequately evaluated and incorporated, comments on the notice of intent must be received by May 27, 2011.
